When I saw the title Batman: The Dark knight, I thought the movie was actually suppose to be a movie about batman and how he took care of Gotham city. Batman is always supposed to be remembered as the hero for Gotham city. He was suppose to bring peace to the city but strangely this movie is totally different from what I expected.The movie was totally focus on the Joker (Health Ledger) who passed away beginning of this year before the movie was release in July 2008. I think this movie was more like a tribute to Health Ledger for acting carrier and the remembrance of his acting career. After watching this movie for the second time, I think Health Ledger did a good job bringing out the character of Joker in the movie.
The morale of this movie was actually showed at the ending part of the movie when Harvey Dent (Gotham's true hero) later on turned into a villain after he was brainwash by the Joker. It shows that even a true hero who fight for justice can fall and become a villain and started killing people.
That's very sad.
Finally at the last scene, we see batman running from the police and the dogs. The scene looks more like the police were chasing after him. Actually even until now I can't quite understand that scene, why batman has to run? He did nothing wrong. Batman was suppose to be the hero.
Overall, I think the movie is great and worth watching. I will rate it as 9/10. 10% was for the the scene that I could not understand..'Why on earth Batman the hero has to run? Did he become a villain too like Harvey Dent? ' :P

well it's simple, batman had to run because he asked commissioner gordon (the other police) to blame harvey dent's death on him so that all his effort wont go into a waste. That's why he's running away from the police and dogs.
When i think bout that ending i feel sad for batman... sigh.. CAN'T WAIT FOR the THIRD INSTALLMENT !
PS : It's not Batman : The Dark Knight. it's simply titled "The Dark Knight"
Opps.. sorry for the wrong title. Yea, now I understand why batman has to run. And its very sad batman is has to take the fall for harvey's death.Harvey deserves to die now cos he became a villian. And Batman did nothing wrong to deserve to run.
Anyway,I read in Yahoo that the upcoming batman movie, will include jonny Depp as the villian :P ... And Angelina Jolie as the catgirl.. lol.. Well, probably its just rumors only.But I'll still be looking forward to the upcoming batman movie.
hmm angelina jolie as bat girl huh.. hope she does a good job.. i have no doubts that johny depp will do good in whateva role he will be in as he's really a good actor.. just like heath ledger
Yes..Indeed Johny Depp will do well in whatever role he acts..And I think he is good looking too :P..lol..
