Aeroline -Directly from Penang to Damansara

If your looking for buses that goes directly from Penang to Damansara you can look for Aeroline. This bus stops (behind one-utama shopping mall-New Wing) in Damansara. The ride took about 4.5 hours but at 9.15pm I was at Damansara. It felt more like a short ride actually. Everything was very confortable except their seats were not as confortable as the Konsortium(executive class). Konsortium seats are big and confortable, that can't be denied. But when it comes to service, Aeroline's service is good.
There were two cabin crews that served us food and drinks. They also provided us with a cushion pillow and a blanket if we were cold. I felt more like on a plane rather than a bus. lol. The drivers were more careful when driving on the road compared to Konsortium.
The Aeroline buses from Penang to Damansara leaves at 5pm daily from Sungai Nibong, Penang bas station and it reaches Damansara by 9.30pm.

Thinking of taking a Train?? Think twice!!

Last saturday I tooked a train back from KL to Butterworth (2nd class RM34). The train was suppose to arrive at KL central at 2.19pm but it arrived at 2.45pm. The train didn't leave immediately, we had to wait for 1 hour in the train without air-con and lights because of some technical problem. So the actual time the train left was almost 3.45pm.

I reach Butterworth at 10.15pm about almost 1 hour late. So if you are thinking of taking a train, think twice!! For those who do not have time, please do not take a train.

A Communist Job

I found the article below from another blog and I think it's so funny and quite sarcastic too. Who will like to work in this type of company??

Employee Rules and Regulations

Dress Code
It is advised that you come to work dressed according to your salary.

If we see you wearing Prada shoes and carrying a Gucci bag, we assume you are doing well financially and therefore do not need a raise.

If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better,so that you may buy nicer clothes, and therefore do not need a raise.

If you dress just right, you are right where you need to be and therefore do not need a raise.

Sick Days
We will no longer accept a doctor's statement as proof of sickness.

If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.

Personal Days
Each employee will receive 104 personal days a year. They are called Saturday and Sunday.

Toilet Use
Entirely too much time is being spent in the toilet. There is now a strict three-minute time limit in the stalls.

At the end of the three minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper roll will retract, the stall door will open and a picture will be taken.

After your second offence, your picture will be posted on the company bulletin board under the "Chronic Offenders category".

Anyone caught smiling in the picture will be sectioned under the company's mental health policy!

You are allowed to use the rest room only thrice a day and you have to swipe in and out from the toilet doors also.

Lunch Break
Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch as they need to eat more, so that they can look healthy.

Normal size people get 15 minutes for lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure.

Fat people get 5 minutes for lunch, because that's all the time needed to drink a slim fast.

Mails
Don't read junk and forwarded mails.

~Thank you for your loyalty to our company.

We are here to provide a positive employment experience. Therefore,

All questions, comments, concerns, complaints, frustrations, irritations, aggravations, insinuations, allegations, accusations, contemplations, consternation and input should be directed elsewhere.

~I thank God for the company I am in right now. ~Prudence

Unveiling the Secret for Cuts

Here are some tips if you accidently cut your hand. A few weeks back, I was cutting some pieces of paper with a blade and I accidently cut my finger. And I acted immediately, and it was better within seconds actually. If you ever come across a situation like this, here's what you can do immediately.

Small Cuts
When you get a cut, quickly or immediately use a finger to press and close the cut. Press it for about 5 to 10 minutes. Our body is made in such a way, that it will heal all by itself even without medicine. Next, you can remove your finger from the cut area. You will see that there is no scar or blood coming out from the cut. That's good! But do not touch the area for a day or 2 allowing it to completely heal.

~* For big cuts, I would recommended you go for stitching.

The Dark Knight

When I saw the title Batman: The Dark knight, I thought the movie was actually suppose to be a movie about batman and how he took care of Gotham city. Batman is always supposed to be remembered as the hero for Gotham city. He was suppose to bring peace to the city but strangely this movie is totally different from what I expected.

The movie was totally focus on the Joker (Health Ledger) who passed away beginning of this year before the movie was release in July 2008. I think this movie was more like a tribute to Health Ledger for acting carrier and the remembrance of his acting career. After watching this movie for the second time, I think Health Ledger did a good job bringing out the character of Joker in the movie.

The morale of this movie was actually showed at the ending part of the movie when Harvey Dent (Gotham's true hero) later on turned into a villain after he was brainwash by the Joker. It shows that even a true hero who fight for justice can fall and become a villain and started killing people.
That's very sad.

Finally at the last scene, we see batman running from the police and the dogs. The scene looks more like the police were chasing after him. Actually even until now I can't quite understand that scene, why batman has to run? He did nothing wrong. Batman was suppose to be the hero.

Overall, I think the movie is great and worth watching. I will rate it as 9/10. 10% was for the the scene that I could not understand..'Why on earth Batman the hero has to run? Did he become a villain too like Harvey Dent? ' :P

Making the Right Decision

Making a major decision is the most difficult time of my life. It's difficult because when you are at crossroad you will have to decide which is road to choose. Left road or the right road? It's more like a puzzle, isn't it? Making a wise decision is never easy. We can never take this lightly nor can we ignore making decisions. Infact, we make decisions almost everyday in our daily lives. But do all our decisions turn out right? Well, not all decisions turn out right.

So what ever we road choose or what ever decision we make, we will somehow have to face the consequences we make. If we choose the wrong road, then whalla..sambaba we are gonna end up feeling miserable. So how are we going to make a wise decision? This is what I have learnt from my previous experience of making decisions. It does work. I do believe there will be more to add on the list in the years to come. ;)

1. Seek advice from wise and elderly people. They have a lot to teach us.
2. Pray about it.
3. Read the bible, there are many wise sayings in Proverbs.
4. There will be a peace in your heart, when your doing the right thing.
5. Decision can never be made base on feelings. Because feelings can always change. :P
6. And remember what ever decision we make, there's consequences.

Trip to Pulau Jerejak

Two weeks ago, we made a trip down to Pulau Jerejak . Pulau Jerejak was previously established by the British to isolate lepers patient from the Straits Settlement in Penang, Singapore and Melaka. At the beginning only lepers were allowed to reside on the island. However, later on Tuberculosis patients were also quarantine on the island and followed by criminals in 1960's.

I am grateful that I had my chance to visit Pulau Jerejak. But seeing the surrounding of the island, I realize there was actually nothing much on the island. Except you can play the outdoor activities specially designed for team building. You know…the usual team building games such as board climbing, flying fox, archery, pinball, jungle tracking and etc. We only spend an hour in Pulau Jerejak walking around. Overall, the place was quite boring!

For those who have not been to Pulau Jerejak and would like to take a look, you can get a ferry at the Jeti Jerjak near to Gold Coast (Penang) residential area. A ticket for an adult will cost you RM12 . It's not that expensive. I have put up some pictures I took at Pulau Jerejak. Hope you like them. ~Prudence

Me vs Work

There was a time when work used to be a priority in my life. No matter what happens, I made it a point that I have to go to work even if I was involve in an accident. That actually happened once and it was not a wise decision to return to work.

On Thursday night, my mom met with an accident. A car came from behind and hit her car. No one was injured but there were minor damages at the bumper. By the way, I was not there when this accident happened. But thankfully nothing happened to my mom and my brother. Praise God! My mom managed to drive the car back to the house as the damages were not so bad.

The next morning, my mom asked me to take the car for repair at the workshop. It was a hard time deciding because I had work on that day. But since it was my mom's request, so I just agreed to it and took the car to the workshop.

I learnt one thing from this incident. All these years, I have been busy with work that I took no time to notice that our life here is actually very important. So is our family. We will always have work, but not life as people can die anytime.

No lunch today

Usually when I order lunch from the office, there will be a person to deliver the food. But today, they totally forgot to deliver the food and I guess today I will not be eating anything for lunch.. :S I bet most people will get very upset if this kind of situation happens to them but strangely I am not even angry at all. The only thought that runs through my mind right now is I might be starving today :P but that's okay.. This is what I call unwanted diet .. lol
